You're going to be okay!

First of all, a lot of things can cause abnormal PAP results!.!.!. like having sex or using tampons a couple days before your gyno appointment or it could mean you have a yeast infection!. A lot of things can cause abnormal results, and most of the time it is not caused by HPV!.

The majority of the time, the abnormal cells heal themselves!. It will most likely go away on its own!. Most abnormal cells and untreated HPV does *not* lead to cervical cancer!. Supposedly, at least 75% of the US population as HPV, and many people who have it don't know!.!.!. they never experience any signs or symptoms!.

You're going to be okay!. What you're going through is difficult and scary, but you'll get through this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't get ahead of yourself and don't get scared!. According to your test result you *may* have HPV!. Even if you do, the chance of it meaning you have cervical cancer now is very very small!. The concern about HPV is that it make one more likely to develop cervical cancer in the future!. The way to make surer you are OK is to see your doctor and follow through!.

There is an excellent chance you are fine!. But see the doc!. Also, if you don't have HPV, discuss with your doc getting the vaccine for HPV, so you have less worries in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Let's get one thing clear first off and that is an abnormal smear result is NOT cancer!. The abnormal cells can be abnormal for a number of reasons including infection!. If the abnormal cells were left untreated then you could go on and develop cancer BUT that is unlikely to happen as these cells have been found early!.

My sister had severely abnormal cells and had to have an operation or two!. She is alive today and looking very healthy having had her first child!

Make sure you attend all your appointments and ASK your doctor questions about what is worrying you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

abnormal paps are NOT cervical cancer, at some point in their life most women have an abnormal pap!. Sometimes it is only abnormal because of inflammation, sometimes it is HPV (especially if you are sexually active) most of the time HPV resolves itself over time!. Just be sure to follow up with your GYN as instructed!. It takes many years for High Risk HPV to develop into cervical cancer, Low Risk HPV can cause gential warts!.

I agree with most of the above answers!. But please if the doctor says to follow-up!. Make sure you do it!. Do not shrug it off!. Everyone told me not to worry about my paps being abnormal!. And I didn't worry about it!. I was young, healthy and full of energy!. I am now 40 it catches up with you!. I have Cervical Cancer now and am being treated with Chemo/Radiation and will have a complete hysterectomy in a couple of months!. We caught it before it had spread!. So my outlook at this point will hopefully be good!.!.!.!.!.!. HPV is very serious and if you do have a lot of bad pap results!. It very well can turn into cancer!. 80% of our population will have some type of HPV infection in their lifetime!. Most immune systems fight this off!. Some of us unfortunately do not!. Good Luck and do everything the doctor recommends at this point!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

HPV could lead to cervical cancer if you do not have your routine PAP!. as long as you have your routine PAP the HPV should not turn into cancer!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
