Question: Has anyone used tea tree oil to remove a skin tag!?
I was searching the web and on eHow they recommend using tea tree oil to remove a skin tag!. The item is not expensive, but just wondered if anyone has tried it and been successful!.
Discovered this on my mid-section a few months ago and is very annoying, and fairly good size!. A few little ones are now in the same general area!. Would like to have them removed and thought if the tea tree oil does the trick it saves a trip to the doctor!. My insurance sees them as no problem and views the removal of a skin tag as cosmetic so could be costly to have it done by a doctor!. thanks to those who respond!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tea tree essential oil is drying, and skin tags are a sign of internal dampness in Chinese medicine!. I would be surprised if the tea tree would be strong enough alone, but you may want to explore Spleen Qi Tonics to reduce internal dampness and avoid having more skin tags in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Please do not follow Brunette Barbie's advice!. So many things could go wrong including bleeding and infection!. Tea tree oil is a mild antiseptic!. Since it is an essential oil, it is highly concentrated and could irritate your skin!.
Are the tags where your underwear or waistbands rub them!? Contact the insurance company again and express your concern that the constant irritation worries you and hurts!. You can always apply for a formal review to get it OKd by the company!. It helps if your regular doctor looks at them and is willing to back you up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use a sissors or nail clipper!. No pain at all but it might bleed!. and you need alcohol of course!.
