Question: My 16 Month old baby is having digestive problems!?
My baby is constipated, I don't know what to do!. Please help I've try gerber's prune juice, but it hasn't help, It seems like he's having discomfort when he tries to do number 2, because he cries!. Also lately he hasn't been eating well!. His been only drinking milk!. Will that have anything to do with it!. And how can I make him eat more!.!. Please help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Babies, like us, need digestive enzymes!. That is why we need lots of raw fruits and vegetables!. Sorry to tell you but Gerber's prune juice is lacking in life giving enzymes!.
This is why breast feeding is so important, to establish a healthy digestive system from the beginning!. From there we MUST introduce our child to many raw vegetables and fruits!. While I'm not a raw foodist and do eat bread, beans, brown rice and occasionally meat, I cannot emphasis enough that at least 50 percent of your diet should be uncooked foods (vegetables, fruit, nuts and seeds!. Even sashimi is preferable to cooked fish)!.
Your baby's health is a long term thing and while I'm sure he'll get over this little upset I hope you don't get into the habit of going to doctors to cure your dietary mistakes because eventually their "cures" will cost you and your child dearly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know how you can make him want to eat more!. As to the constipation, standard answers: He's old enough to drink water (no more than two small cups a day) - that may help!. Most fruit juices are good for the bowels!. And if he's in real pain and/or hasn't done a smelly for 3 or 4 days: glycerine suppositories!Www@Answer-Health@Com
