Question: A question about an EKG!.!?
I went to the Dr today and since my blood pressure and heart rate were way too high she ordered a EKG STAT and also had some blood work and a urine test done!. On the way back from the EKG I looked at the test and it had a column that said some stuff: Sinus Tachycardia, Englarged Right Heart and Heart Valve and some other stuff!.
Anybody know if that was just what they were checking for in the EKG or if that was what the EKG indicated!? Im so freaked out about this but since she sent me home im going to assume that it was normalWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, that column was the computer's automated diagnosis!. No, this should not automatically worry you!. The first thing they teach you about reading EKGs is to never trust the auto interpretation!. I've had patients with reports that said they were overdosed on medications they've never taken in their lives!. These things will give you some pretty weird stuff!.
If you have concerns or questions you should speak with your doctor!. If she won't answer them you should get a new doctor!.
As far as the results it gave you, nothing sounds terribly bad even if it is true!. Sinus tach is benign, consider cutting down on caffeine if you drink any!. Otherwise it's probably just white coat syndrome (your heart rate went up becuase you were nervous about being at the doctor's office)
Chamber enlargement is usually the result of having a chronically high blood pressure!. This can be managed with diet, exercise, and if necessary, medications!. Again, talk to your doctor!.
No one can diagnose structural heart disease from just an EKG!. If your doctor didn't order an echocardiogram then she's probably pretty certain there's nothing wrong with any valves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had to have an ekg for my head not my heart, but ill proally be getting 1 for my heart 2 cause my bp is thru the roof!. But dont ever leave your doctor uninformed, always ask questions even if they sound stupid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
she might be checking for lots of things heart or valve defect im guessing ull live if she sent u home Www@Answer-Health@Com
