Medical Question Help please?!
Question:
Medical Question Help please?
I just posted another ? but this one is more described. My nana has had a stroke and cancer since the begining of the year. She is diabetic. Her hospice nurse and family doctor has said to lower her insulin and to have her sugar go to 400. The ? is, does that sound like they are trying to kill her or are suppose to do that from the cancer?
Answers:
Is she having trouble eating? I know a lot of people with cancer do. They may be concerned that with her not eating and taking insulin her sugar might go too low which can be more dangerous than it going too high. Ask why they are doing this. It's been my experience that Hospice workers are very understanding and willing to help the family in any way possible. Hugs to you and your Nana.
