What if its herpes?

I have these 2 bumps "down there". They're not inside, they're on the outside of my vaginal area near the clitorous. They're not on the part where the hair grows ((So i think that illiminates the possibility of it being an ingrown hair or something))..

They're the size of a pea (and theres 2 of them) and they're hard. They hurt really bad - like a painful pimple being pusshed on.

I've had them for about 3 days now. On Tuesday night i was crying in pain from them, and then on wednesday they were gone..yesterday they came back!! and now theirs some blood!! They're not discolored, theres no puss... but it hurts.

I was extreamly sexually active during highschool - i've been out of highschool for 2 years now, and i just celebrated a 2 year anavercery with my amazing boyfriend - who actually proposed to me. Hes the only one i've been sexual with in 2 years - and he was a virgin before i met him!

Is it possible that i could've gotten herpes over 2 years ago and not known??

I called my doctor yesterday who said i did not need to come in. She said it sounded like an infected hair follicle and my mom seems to think it sounds like a cyst - she said she gets them too. But these things had no sign of any kind of blood at that time!!

I feel ashamed, discusting, depressed, dirty, gross... i just feel really really really gross. and stupid!!

I'm making an appointment today as soon as the doctors office opens (even if its not herpes, i have to get it checked)...

I've heard so many terrible things about herpes. Like that if you have an outbreak during labor your baby could actually die!! ......

What can I do??

answer #1 says that i should not decieve my boyfriend any longer...

I should have mentioned this before - My boyfriend is fully aware of what is going on with me. We are very truthful with eachother. Actually, asside from my mom - hes the only one that knows. Hes extreamly supportive.

I cant get over this! my mind is so restless! I'm an extreamly clean person, I'm a full time college student, i have a great job...my whole life consists of working, going to school, helping my mom raise my siblings (They have a father but hes always working as he owns his own business)....

I feel soooooooo grosss!!!!! I feel like people will judge me for the rest of my life if i have this - even if nobody knows. Even though only my mom and boyfriend know - i feel so self concious!!

Yes. It's definately possible. You can have herpes (or any other STD) without having physical signs.

Don't freak out. You need to go to a clinic somewhere and get tested. (or if you have a regular OBGYN)
