Vitamin E 400 I.U. softgels/ tablets, good for scars?

I heard vitamin E is supposed to help with scars. How often should they be taken a day? Also, it is better to take them or apply them to areas? What's the difference, if any?

Answers:

Yes, I took them orally once a day and applied the liquid to the scars at night. I am not saying my scars are not noticable, but I know it helped a whole lot using both.
