Good snacks for a diabetic w/high blood sugars?!

Question: Good snacks for a diabetic w/high blood sugars!?
I'm helping out a diabetic whose blood sugars are already high!. However, she says she's hungry!. What are the best snacks to give her that hopefully won't raise her blood sugar too much!? I'm trying to find some variety besides the sugar free pudding that she's sick of!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ignore most of the answers you have been given non diabetics assuming that it's about sugar it's not it's about carbs look for low carb snacks (under 15-20 gms)!. Cheese, yoghurt, nuts lots of good tasting stuff!.

Anything that has Low Carb, Carb Smart, Sugar free are all good when a diabetic wants a snack but the blood sugar is high or normal!.

My fiance loves jello and the sugar free one is just as good!. Low carb or carb smart ice cream is really nice too!. Sugar free Popsicles are awesome too!. I actually prefer them over regular ones!. There is a brand called 50/50 made for diabetics and they have peanut butter, jams, jellies, cookies!.

Just have to look around at the store!. Anything that has low carbohydrates and low sugar on the contents section of the package is good when you eat the amount per serving!. Usually when you eat more than one serving it doubles up on the carbs and sugar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure where you live, but they make cookies that are sugar free; peanut butter without sugar, plenty of candies without sugar, including things like Reese's and Hershey's!. A lot of companies make 100 calorie pack snacks that contain little or no sugar!. There are sodas, hot chocolates, fruit drinks (Hawaiian punch lite is great) and other things that you can find!. Almost any food that used to be considered full of sugar has a version without!. Several companies now make bread that is sugar free and for breakfast items there is even a sugar free syrup!.
