Question: I had a VSD when i was 2!?
i didnt find out till like last yr my parents were too scared to tell me but i knew something happened to me because i have a huge scar that goes from the top of chest to the middle!. and i have two other scars that are close by!. idk if the big one [its like a line] is a scar tho cuz its always been there, it doesnt seem to fade at all!. but i was wondering, will it ever go away!? its not like i wear clothes that show my chest now though but its not like im gonna hide it forever!. its just like a strange line, i feel like a freak lol!. but yeah, if anyone every had one, or knows anybody who has one, do you know if the scars ever go away!?

It depends what was use to close the wound!. I would have to say that the scar will fade with time, but probably never completely disappear!. What I hate more is that your parents didn't tell you until now!. The large scar is probably where they entered your chest to work on your heart, and the smaller wounds may be from chest tubes!. It's hard to tell without actually seeing them!.
