Tuberculosis, am I at risk, should I go to see a doctor?!

Question: Tuberculosis, am I at risk, should I go to see a doctor!?
It's a pretty complex reason why I think this but I do!.!.!.
Basically!.
There was a TB risk in my school a few months ago!. One boy had it!. Now he doesn't- that's all fine!.
Now I think my friend might have it too!.
I think they've gone to get a test for it but not told me about it (I'm a big worrier) I'm almost 99% sure that's whats happened (I have reasons but they're really complicated)

Anyway so I think that if they don't come into school tomorrow then they've probably got it right!? So I should go to my doctor and get a test!.
But what if they never tell me!?
I mean they might still be allowed to go out and about until they get a chest x ray and a confirmed diagnosis!?
If they never tell me (and I can't ask when they obviously don't want me to know!.!.!.) should I go and get a test anyway!?
I have such a big phobia of getting ill!. And this TB thing is bothering me so much it's all I can think about!.
What shall I do!?
How can I cope with the worry!? (My mum says just deal with it!.!.!. But how!?)
I reckon I should go get a test unless they tell me that they took the test and it was negative is that right!?

Sorry I know this is a stupid question but I'm so so scared and I need to ask someone and my family are fed up of my worrying and my friends obviously all know so I can't ask them!.

Also, I had the vaccination 6 years ago but I know it's only 70% accurate!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First, TB is pretty hard to catch!. It's not nearly as contagious as, say, the common cold or chicken pox!. People who get sick with TB usually are in close proximity for a long time with someone who has the disease!.

Even though the vaccine isn't 100% effective, the fact that you've been vaccinated still lowers your chances of getting TB!. You know, we don't get the TB vaccine in the USA (except in rare circumstances) so I've never been vaccinated!. I've taken care of patients with TB and I've never tested positive for being exposed to it!.

Also, being exposed to TB does not mean you develop the disease!. Most people who are exposed DO NOT develop TB!.

Finally, even if you did catch it, remember that the worst case scenario is that you'd have to be treated for it!. It's definitely not worth worrying day and night about this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

YES, tell your doctor you have been exposed at school!. Did the school nurse send home a note of concern!? It would not hurt to go to the doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
