Question: Boil/Cyst: How long am I in for!?
I have a boil/cyst in a really bad spot!. I am on antibiotics for it!. It hurts to sit, stand, and walk!. It's terrible!. I never had one of these before!. How long will it take to go away!? Also I've seen some really bad pics of them online and was wondering if the tiny hole I have in the center of it is going to get as large as the infection is under the skin!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get them all the time!. The hole in the center of it usually means that it has already drained!. If not, I give it a good solid squeeze when I'm in the shower!. Once you've got it drained down to bright red blood, clean everything really well in the shower!. When you get out, swab it with rubbing alcohol!. Then tape some gauze over it!. You need to let it get air, but you also don't want to leave it open to germs!.
If you go to the doctor, all they do is slice it open and drain all the puss out!. Personally, I think this is a bad idea!. Hospitals and doctors offices are FULL of germs!. My mother got a terrible staph infection that nearly killed her!. She went to the hospital for a routine surgical procedure and they nearly killed her!.
If left completely alone, they go away in 2-6 weeks!. If you lance and drain it, it shortens the painful part!. It will remain red for a long time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What you have sounds very similar to a staph infection called Mersa!. Check out this info and check back with your doctor asap!. Ask them to do a lab test scraping on it to find out exactly what your dealing with!. Your antibiotic should have already made a difference!.

Soak in the tub with warm/hot water for 30 minutes 4 times a day!.!.!.this will bring the infection (pus) to a head where it will drain and then it will go away faster!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
