Implantable Loop Recorder w/ Dx of PAF?!
Question: Implantable Loop Recorder w/ Dx of PAF!?
I had an Implantable Loop Recorder placed in December, 2007, it finally revealed that I have Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation!. However I was not aware of the AF!. The first download was negative, the second download was negative, and the download I just had done showed: One sustained episode that lasted 15 minutes with a heart rate of 230 bpm, and multiple other episodes that lasted 2-3 minutes!. The monitor was implanted due to syncopal episodes - one of which resulted in a frontal lobe bleed!.
I have also been diagnosed with severe hypovolumenia!.
I am already on Plavix, due to a stent that restenosed in my LAD!.
I also take metropolol!.
Has anyone had this type of experience!? How were you treated!? And did it resolve your syncope!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well I have had many Holter monitors!. I do have an implanted pacemaker/defibrillator, that records any events that occur whether it be an A-fib, V-tach,paced,received therapy or if I'm over volumed with fluids!. Perhaps your heart medications need to be readjusted!. There maybe a new clot forming within the stent, has that been checked!? Perhaps the Dr!. need to check to see if Plavix is really doing its jobWww@Answer-Health@Com
