Answers:
On no account use inhaled medication for colds this is potentially dangerous and may increase your bronchospasm! Being tight chested, which I am sure is a recurrence of your asthma, requires the correct medication!. You need to see a doctor for appropriate medication ASAP!. Phone your GP and you will be justified in INSISTING that you are seen today!.

DO NOT allow the receptionist to fob you off with the offer of an inhaler prescription as you really need formally assessed and may well require retraining if it is a long time since you were given inhaler therapy!.

Guys like ' Chairman ALF', ' dizzee546', ' richard', + 'Nadia' should not even try to give medical advice if they have no knowledge at all!. Someone could actually suffer harm as a result! This is not really the sort of question that should be appearing on Answers!. 2000 people a year in the UK die due to asthma attacks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well you could return to your doctor for an inhaler, or breathe over a bowl of hot steaming water with vick or eucalyptus added!.

Steer clear of milk and cheese - dairy products - at the moment as it aggravates the catarrh!. Eat plenty of fruit!. When you cough and cant cough up the phlegm, lay on the bed, lean over the end and get someone to gently poat your back each side from the base to under your neck - keep some tissues handy as this will cause you to cough up and youll be less breathless then!.
I do the tip and tap to myself - it works, though not as well as if someone else were doing it for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

get a bowl of boiling water and a towel

put ur head and the bowl under the towel (obv dont put ur head in the water) but take deep deep breaths n the steam helps your breathiing
