I've heard this many times over the years!. But there's no way it'll happen!. And the bottom line is Government conspiracies make good gossip!.

Nobody's hiding a cure!. Sure the pharmeceutical companies would suffer but no one could successfully bribe their way out of this!. Think about it!. First of all, no one on earth could afford it!. The discoverer would reap millions over a long period of time!.

Secondly, the notoriety for such a discovery is irreplacable! The person will go down in history! How long ago was Jonas Salk around!? Everyone will always know his name!. How do you compensate something like that!?!? It's impossible!.

And lastly, the discoverer of such a cure is surely motivated, be it the suffering of his own family member, or a passion for the disease!. Nobody would invest a lifetime of research only to bury it!.

Hang in there!. We'll get it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

At this time there is NO CURE, but there are many experiments along that line!.

One of the "newest" twists is to treat diabetes as an auto-immune disease!. That means that it appears that your own body is trying to kill your pancreas, like your body would reject an organ transplant!. This is showing some promise, but the going is very slow!.

Another avenue of research is stem cells!. Again, promising, but no results!.

The only thing close to a cure is a pancreas transplant!. These are uncommon, and almost always done on young patient (but at 17 you MIGHT still be young enough !. !. !. !.) But transplantation has its own problems, There is ALWAYS the possibility of rejection!. If this happens you have to go back on the shots until a new donor is found -- and this can take YEARS!. Also, the anti-rejection drugs necessary reduce your immune system, so you tend to be more susceptible to colds and infections!. You have to be VERY careful where you go and who you hang out with!. How awful to think that you got a pancreas transplant then died of a nose cold!

Frankly, it sound that you need to "get real", stop listening to all the conspiracty theories, and start living in the real world!. You have a very serious disease!. It is not your fault, but there is no cure!.

But if you follow the doctors orders, monitor your blood sugars, and take you meds, you should be able to live as long, as healthy, and as happy as any other young person your age!.
