i had a fine needle biopsy done about 4 weeks ago, on a lymoh node in my neck left side, it came back inconclusive and recomended that i have a block biopsy done, i had this done a week ago, while i was in hostpital i looked at my notes, they said that matastica carcinma was found in my first lymoh node biopsy,but i was never told this,they have just called me to say they now want me in next week for a mri scan and a cat scan,im now worried sick,they wont tell me anything!. please help!.

A carcinoma is a malignant (meaning bad or severe) cancer, which is a group of uncontrolled growth!. "Metastica", I couldn't find, but the word must come from metastasis, which means to spread!. You, as a patient, have a right to whatever operative report (what the doctor who did the biopsy wrote out) or laboratory report (whatever the pathology lab wrote out when they looked at your lymph node specimen)!. All you have to do is ask!. I wish you luck! Don't be afraid to ask about any reports, treatments, or medicines: ex!. What does ________ mean!? Which treatment is better!? Why do you suggest ____ medicine!? What did the cat scan say!? I found out the hard way that doctors don't tell you stuff unless you ask point blank questions!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
