Her hygiene may be affecting my health?!?! Please help meeee!

Question: Her hygiene may be affecting my health!?!!?! Please help meeee
I have a roommate who is very unhygienic!. I don't really care when people shower, or what they do to stay clean, it's frankly none of my business, UNLESS it is affecting MY life!. So, I found out that my roommate scratches herself down there and doesn't even wash her hands! I know this for a fact, because I have seen it with my own eyes!. I'm also afraid that she is using my loofah!.!.can i catch something from her if she has it if she is doing this!?!? All this behavior is driving me crazy, but i can't do anything to get out of this situation!. however, if i talk to her, i'm afraid she'll think i'm attacking her cuz she has an infectious disease! am i ok as long as i keep my personal hygiene, or can her behavior affect MY health!?!? Anything will help, thanks so much! Im so worried!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
well i don't see how it can affect your health in any way!. i mean, if she's using your loofah then the worst thing you can come in contact with would probably be the dead skin she rubs of with it, or some strand of pubes or pit hair XP!. i don't think there's anything transmitted through dead skin on a loofah, unless of course if she has leprosy or something!. about the crotch scratching!.!.!.yuk!.!.!.but you shouldn't worry, yes there will be germs but none that can harm you bad enough!. if i were you i would get another loofah so both of you have one, then tell her that she can have your old one :)) if that's too offending get a new loofah, don't tell her you have it!. you wont get a skin disease or anything, but its just groose to think that all her dead skin and pubic hair is being scrubbed all over you!. and the scratching, offer her from time to time some alcogel, that handy hand wash gel!. make sure she see's you use it before you ask her to use it, and try not to offend her when you offer her some, just smile and as if she wants some, get a scented hand wash gel so she wont resist putting on her!. other than these two solutions i suggest you just talk to her nicely, tell her she's not the problem and that you are because your overly clean about things even if its not true, it helps ease the effect if you blame it on you!.

I think you can catch different diseases including STDS from sharing a loofah, wash cloth and certainly a toothbrush or razor!.

If you're concerned (you should be) you can put it diplomatically!. Put out a pump antibacterial soap, (hint hint) at each sink!. They go on sale for 99 cents, worth the investment!. You should also wash your hands due to her uncleanliness and if you touch something dirty in or outside the home!.

I would ask her nicely to be a good, considerate roomie as you are!. Her problems could affect you so you have every right to ask her to do the same as you!.

Best of luck with the issue at hand and stay healthy!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
