A friend of mine had this, as well!. Its a small cyst, likely, just attached the the skin and not to anything internal!. Does it hurt!?
If he isn't in pain, it is likely nothing to worry about!. This is annoyingly common for men, and usually goes away on its own over time!.
I myself am prone to small cysts in strange places!. Ive had them on the back of my head at the base of my skull (thought I had brain cancer) and it went away within about 4 months!. They can be sensitive, and hurt when touched, but not agonizing!.
I would suggest for him to cut out dairy products as much as possible!. This has really helped me get rid of cysts in the past!. There is some connection between the lactose in dairy/milk and the formation of cysts!.
It's good that he's going to get it checked, but don't fret just yet!. They will put your mind at ease, as he's likely too young for testicular cancer!.
Best to you and your boyfriend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i heard about this on embarassing illnesses on the telly, the doctor said to the man as long as its not attached to the testicle its alright and its just tissue!. and nothing was done as it didnt need to, best to get it checked out though to put his mind at ease

edit:
they have to feel it to check it, so your boyfriend might not like this idea, or they have a look where it is and the patient describes where it is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is mobile and moves around when he moves the skin, it is probably a simple cyst, but he is doing the right thing - anything like this absolutely must be checked by his doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
my husband had the same sort of thing, it turned out to be a blocked tube, try not to worry and wait to see what is said xWww@Answer-Health@Com
Sounds like a cyst to me!. He's obviously doing absolutely the right thing and getting it checked out but it really does sound like a cyst!. Let us know how you got on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
