Coccidiodomycosis?!
Question: Coccidiodomycosis!?
I was diangnosed with cocci two years ago at the age of 21!. The disease spread to my spine, which resulted in two surgeries!. I have been on fluconazole ever since I was diagnosed!. 800mg a day!. The doctor is going to lower it to 400mg next week!. I've been doing good!. My question is someday I would like to have babies!. Has anyone ever had a successful pregnancy while having cocci!? It depends on the severity of your disease and if they can get you off the fluconazole!.
If they can, I would think you would be ok!. If not, it is recommended not to have children because fluconazole causes birth defects!.
