My best advice would be to have plenty of movies, popsicles, jell-o, and pillows waiting for you when you get home!. I was 22 when I had mine out and from experience you're not going to want to do anything!. I needed 2 weeks before I could eat solid food!. I was hungry all the time! Swallowing is going to be very painful for a while, so have a lot of cold food items handy!. Popsicles, jell-o, pudding, and ice cream are going to be your primary staples until you are allowed warm foods!. Then I switched to mashed potatoes and soup!. And as far as drinks go- no soda! That will burn! Drink water, milk, or juice only!. I think I just drank milk and apple juice for a while!. You also won't be able to speak clearly for a few days!. Let your friends know ahead of time (or have a good text messaging plan on your cell phone)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Jello, milkshakes, mashed potatoes and gravy!.!.!.
Eat soothing things and don't make big plans!. You might feel fantastic after the procedure, but you might be wiped out!.
It shouldn't hurt, but will probably feel irritated!.
I loved mashed potatoes and gravy after getting my tonsils out!. I don't know why, it was just so good and easy to eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Getting your tonsils out nowdays, is not the dreaded thing of the past, nowdays, they remove them with laser, so therefore you will not have hardly any disscomfort, you wont know in a couple of days afterwards, that you,ve even had it done!.!.!. Good luck to you lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Been there and done that!! Cool liquids and food will be best!. Sodas and fruit juices may burn and cause bleeding to start!. Ice cream is a food of choice!. Plenty of rest, and NO HOT liquids or solid food, untill the Doctor says! No sharp, crunchy crackers, chips, or cookies, until healed!. Hope you will do well :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
