As another poster suggested, this may be an allergy!.

There is also a condition called "Oral Allergy Syndrome"!. This happens when you're allergic to pollen from weeds, trees, or grass!.

Your body mistakes the fruit or vegetable pollen for the grass, weed, or tree pollen and your mouth, lips, and throat will sting and swell up!.

There is a list in this article http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Oral_allerg!.!.!. of some examples!.

If your throat gets itchy after eating something, write down what you ate so you will know to avoid it in the future!. If the itching beomes uncomfortable, you may want to ask your parents for an antihistamine like Benadryl!.

It's very important to tell your parents what's happening!. In some allergies, your throat and lungs will swell up so badly you can stop breathing, so you need to avoid anything that makes your throat itch!.

You may also need to ask your parents to take you to a doctor, who can tell you more about what's happening!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people are born with food allergies, but sometimes you can develop them as you grow older!.

When your throat gets itchy write down what you have eaten and when, and take all of the information to an Allergist!. He or she should be able to take tests to see what you are allergic to!. It's important to write it down so they know what to test you for!

When I get an allergy test they put a little of whatever they're testing for (like orange) on your skin, and give it a little prick!. It's a bit uncomfortable, but it doesn't hurt!. If you get a red mark there you could be allergic to the food, and the doctor will tell you to stop eating those things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
