Answers:
Ask what your actual TSH number was!. If it is higher than 3, you are hypothyroid!. Unfortunately, some labs and docs are still using the old limits of 5 or 6!. It was changed in 2002!.
Editing to add - I just looked at your other Qs re: anxiety and heart palpation and weakness/fatigue!. Those symptoms sound like hyperthyroidism, in which case a TSH below 0!.3 would be alarming!. Again, find out your TSH number!. If it has been a few weeks since your TSH test, and you've developed new symptoms, get another test!. My TSH changed dramatically in just a few weeks when I became hypothyroid with Hashimoto's thyroiditis!.
When you were told that your nodule did not show up on the scan, that didn't mean that it went away!. Nodules that do not appear on the scan are called "cold nodules", meaning that they do not take up radioactive iodine like normal, functioning thyroid tissue does!. The next step is likely a fine needle biopsy to check for cancer!. While most cold nodules are not cancerous, they are the types to check for cancer!. Do not put off any future tests!. Your life is too important!. Take this seriously, but don't panic!. Your chance of cancer is less than 15% with a cold nodule, and most thyroid cancers have a very sucessful treatment rate!. Take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have thyroid nodules and I am monitored by an endocrinologist!. I have had them for 6 years and my doctor has never used a thyroid scan!. Maybe your nodule is too small to be seen on the scan!? This just a thought of mine!.

My nodules are not cancerous, and alot of women suffer from them, but I have never felt tired or run down from them!. My advice is to keep following up with your doctor (find an endocrinologist)Www@Answer-Health@Com

your thyroid is a mess and hes trying to find out what to do!. you will have to be on meds i am sure when this is over with as for the knob on there i am not sure but you have to take the meds and then you will feel lots beter that is why you are so tired and dragged out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
