Question: I'm really confused about something!?
Ok I have these miniseizures and lately the meds are not working but making it worse!. So my neurologist is sending me to a hospital in the capital city of my state and she said that the neurologist up there will keep me in the hospital for several days taking me off my meds, hooked on the machinel; to see if Ithe seizures are electro or chemical!.
Is that an EEG!? Or what it is it!? Or are they running other tests!?

There is a special type of EEG in which you are monitored for a few days, not just a few minutes!. It tests how your brain functions over the course of the day--like a video vs!. a photograph!. What they will do is put a cap on your head with the electrodes attached, and you will spend the day as normally as you can so they can monitor you!. They ran it on me one time, but I was allowed to go home with it!. They might also want to run an MRI or CT scan on you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
