I read that people can be misdiagnosed with ASTHMA and / or CHRONIC BRONCHITIS!.!.!.
I think I could be misdiagnosed!.!.!. even if it's not CF!.!.!.

Adults can be diagnosed with CF!. In fact, there's a couple of adults in my clinic who were diagnosed as adults!. It is happening more and more, as chromosome testing is more specific!. CF is a genetic disease of predominantly Caucausian people (specifically western European)!. A person with CF isn't able to digest food because their pancreas doesn't put out enough enzyme because everything that secretes in their bodies makes abnormally thick, sticky mucus!. Their lungs produce horribly thick mucus, their sweat is particularly salty, they have to take replacement pancreatic enzymes to digest their food, they may have liver problems, bone problems, joint problems!.!.!.!.what more do you need!?
Edit: Of course it's impossible to diagnose over the net!. Generally, CF patients who don't take replacement enzymes have very loose, greasy poops!.
Diagnosis of CF is really easy, the first step is usually a sweat chloride test where they hook you up to a machine and measure an area of your arm for sweat (it's about the size of a 4 x 4 gauze)!. As far as medical tests go, it's around $200!. You can also get genetic testing but it is far more expensive, closer to $1000 depending on where you are!. You do need a doctor's order for testing, but I would think if you told your doctor the symptoms you describe here that they would order it!. Insist on it!. (leave off the bit about being misdiagnosed)!.
