Well YES they can!!! And they have to remember to take care of thyself while on the road!!!! Before bypass surgery i was a bad diabetic!!! i took all 5 pills before and after meals and at bed time i took my insulin shots!!!! now i do not do any of that but i still remember to watch my CARB intake and i still lead an active life!!! so to answer the !? yes diabetics can still be diabetic and work ANY job out there!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, as long as your blood glucose is under control and you can pass a physical; and a person is controlling their diabetes by diet and oral medication!. It is my understand in our area, ( Mississippi ) that if a person is on insulin injection, that they can not by Mississippi law drive a truck!. I think that is because of the needles!.
My husband was a trucker for many years!. He finally had to give the driving up because he could no longer get a health card because of his diabetes and being on insulin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
