I had my first cigarette at age 10. My gramps taught me. I smoke regularly, at age 16 though.

started when I was 12 or so, now I'm 38 and at 2 packs a day, trying once again to quit before it kills me.
cold turkey quitting sucks, but it's supposed to be effective.
Personally I started when I was 13. I still smoke about 6 a day, sometimes packs when I go to parties. You know even though this question is clear enough to read you still get a variety of people who reply with "Smoking is bad!"
fyi; WE KNOW ITS BAD. We still choose to do it. Please dont risk wearing out your fingers telling us what will happen, we chose to smoke, when know the consequences. Move on to a soda-drinker's question and complain about how they're ruining their teeth.
Personally, I enjoy Camel Frost. They're still menthol, but minus the fiberglass. Instead they have a small blue bead in the filter supplying an EVEN-BETTER menthol taste.
In all honesty, its like a breath of fresh air in the mountains, even if you live in la.
