Do I have a sinus infection?!
Question: I have a headache and have been blowing my nose nonstop. I know this is gross, but sometimes the snot is bright yellow. I feel ok, other than the headache and congestion. No fever. Do I have to go to my dr.? Please say no. :)

Treat the symptoms so that you can function and especially sleep at night.
As long as you have no yellow spots or clusters of yellow spots on your tonsils it is probably just a simple cold, and possibly something as simple as hay fever.
My experience with sinus infections usually have headache and pressure pains around ones eyes and light of any kind really makes your head throb. If so, you might need medical attention.
Try a good decongestant to open up your nasal passages and some antihistamine to dry up the runny nose so it will thicken the runny nose (snot) so you won't be blowing so much. Gargle warm salt water several times a day to deal with scratchy throat and help dissolve mucous in your throat. It really works! Take Tylenol if you can for headache and body aches. Drink plenty of fluids and rest as you can.
Usually in 2-3 days after onset you can tell if it's more than a simple headcold as these symptoms don't seem to be easing.
For a common cold wait at least 10 days and see if its not a lot better by then, if not consider inquiring your family doctor.
if it continues then i would be thinking about it
Try the sinus meds that they sell over the counter at any drug store. They work well, and if doesn't help you, go see a doc. Sudafed has the best I think.
It's highly possible especially during this time of the year.Signs and symptoms of sinus infections depend upon which sinuses are affected and whether the sinus infection is acute or chronic.
