I have CP and the only thing i know in reference to this question is to STRECH! it helps balance and general movement. i also do some strength training, but it is all dependent on the persons ability. I for example just have bad legs but my upper body is fine.
-in terms of counseling i have never been and live a pretty normal life. for counseling (if needed) i would check for local support groups; check your hospital or ask doctors.if that doesn't work. go on the internet im sure there are CP support chat rooms online.
