Something really weird happened to me today?!

Question: Okay so today I was talking at the practice for the play that my church is having. we were eating candy in the kitchen and all of a sudden I got this really weird feeling in my body. I felt warm and I started to cough. I was wondering why and than I realized that I was having trouble breathing. I was coughing but it was just little coughs like not huge ones but it sounded kind of like I was gasping while I was coughing and it sounded like I was weezing. I walked out of the room and I went to get my water. I took a sip and felt better. I noticed when I felt better that my eyes were tearing up. After that the feeling went away.

The weird thing is that this has happened before and it always happens when I'm eating. I'm not sure if anyone noticed but people looked at me weird when I came back in the room.

what could this be:
I know I may have been choking but it didn't feel like there was anything stuck in my throat and it started after I swallowed.I was also hot but not sweaty.

can you have mild anaphalaxis and have it be relieved with water. I can't think of anything else it could be. You don't always need an epipen to fix anaphalaxis do you

drinking something usually relieves my symptoms

punkin is right. This sounds like a food allergy and you most definitely need to find out what you are allergic to. My brother has severe food allergies so I have seen what happens. If you continue to eat whatever you are allergic too, your reactions can become severe. Go get allergy tests done. Until then, think about what you eat that makes you have those reactions and stay away from those foods.

This sounds like an allergic reaction to whatever food you were eating. This is never something to mess with. Have your parents take you for allergy testing. What did the candy have in it? See if you can get the label from it. Maybe peanuts? or soy? or even milk? Please don't let this go again, because I have heard that each time someone has an allergic attack to food it can get worse.

Go immediately to an allergist. Get tested. Do you know what the candy had in it? Does it happen with this food always? I've heard of some people using water to solve anaphalaxis caused by spicy foods however it is NOTTTTT something to mess with. Please go get allergy tested!!!!!
