First off GET A NEW DERM!!!!
I have been in the field for over 13 years...TAC for Psoriasis for over 4 years???? (please tell me you are NOT using it on your face, groin, underarms, breasts)
What the ------ is wrong with this guy??
While it is true there is no cure...there ARE GREAT TREATMENTS for this Dz. There have been SO many advances in this Disease over the years that there are some GREAT drugs out there. PSO is considered severe if it has a BSA of at least 10% (sounds as if you may be getting there if not already) you can guestimate your involvement by using the palm of YOUR hand...each "palm" is = to 1% of surface involvement (ie if your your right thigh has approximately 6 "palmfuls" of affected area that would be = to 6%...you would add all areas together to get your total BSA%) I recommend you go to www.humira.com and check out the Dr locator under the psoriasis tab for your area also visit the national psoriasis foundation www.psoriasis.org GREAT resource...You NEED a Derm that specializes in this disease...you can get the treatment your getting from your PCP...
GOOD LUCK

you are on the right creams for it, but unfortunately psoriasis is not something that you get rid of, you use the creams to ease the symptoms but it will never go away. If a dermatologist told you that it would, he lied and I would get another derm...it is with you forever all you can do is treat the symptoms

You should see a Naturlpath. Have your food allergies identified and supplements given. Psoriasis can be treated successsfully without the use of drugs.

Haley, hello. I suggest that you try herbal anti-psoriasis Cream and Spray from http://www.champori.com/ It works better than anything else I used for my plaque psor. (knees, elbows and scalp): in just 2.5 weeks my patches flattened out and I haven't had a flare up in more than a year now.
(champori offers money back guarantee so if it doesn't work - it's free. Worth a try)
Best,
Bernadette
