Question: right ive just had a argument with my mother in law,,

ive told her it can and she wont listen to me,
she drinks everyday and gets drunk!!

drinking too much can damage anyone. and yes, alcohol affects the blood sugar, but as long as you monitor it, it isnt a problem. i have a drink every now and then, but i dont get drunk.
Yes. Your body treats alcohol like any other sugar (alcohol is a sugar). Her blood sugar will be very hard to control and her life will be shortened by drinking. Have her go into treatment; she's an alcoholic.

Yeah, the sugar in booze is bad for you. Next day your sugar can drop. It hurting her liver bad too

Alcohol makes your liver very busy. When it's busy with alcohol it doesn't have the time to deal with blood sugars.
If she's gonna drink, she's best to make sure she's got some food inside her first.
