Will my hemherroid go away?!

Question: i have a very small hemherroid on my rectum and i was wondering if i should just leave it alone or go see a doctor. I really dont want to cause i dont want her to see my private area. I mean like who does. Anyways i have had them before and they went away. I was wondering if you have any suggestions as to what i could do to get rid of it naturally. Any help would be great. My hemheroid is small (about the size of my pinky nail) and kinda itchy. But other than that nothing else seems to bother me. I know this is distrubing for some of you to read but I have no other way of infroming you. ANy help would be great.

It will go away in a few days to a week. Sooner if you treat it with Preperation H.....And when you go #2, don't stress your self out. Good luck.

Many anorectal problems, including fissures, fistulae, abscesses, or irritation and itching, also called pruritus ani, have similar symptoms and are incorrectly referred to as hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids usually are not dangerous or life threatening. In most cases, hemorrhoidal symptoms will go away within a few days.

Although many people have hemorrhoids, not all experience symptoms. The most common symptom of internal hemorrhoids is bright red blood covering the stool, on toilet paper, or in the toilet bowl. However, an internal hemorrhoid may protrude through the anus outside the body, becoming irritated and painful. This is known as a protruding hemorrhoid.

Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus that results when a blood clot forms. This condition is known as a thrombosed external hemorrhoid.

In addition, excessive straining, rubbing, or cleaning around the anus may cause irritation with bleeding and/or itching, which may produce a vicious cycle of symptoms. Draining mucus may also cause itching.

Many hemorrhoids come and go. During the acute stage, Sitz baths and Preparation H are of some benefit. Don't strain when you're having a BM. Use Tucks and/or Vaseline Intensive Care on the toilet paper when wiping.

If you're like many of us, the hemorrhoids will recur to the point that you will welcome surgery.

Hi Karson,
I hear you on being uncomfortable showing some things to a female Doc. Hemorrhoids don't go away, really. They either lie low, or flare up. When one or more flare up badly. You need to have them removed. To minimize this episode, & hopefully keep this rhoid from becoming a problem needing treatment. I'd advise you to increase fiber intake, & drink a lot of water daily. You want to make your stool less dense. This will help you defecate more easily. You don't want to have to strain @the bowl. That's how these things are created. You can also use topical creams, & maybe sitz baths. If the blood vessels aren't too enlarged. You should be able to bring it under control. You don't even want to know some of the hemorrhoid horror sights I've seen in hospitals. You know those Cypress trees common to southeastern swamps? The ones w/thick folliage hanging way down, completely around the trunk (360 degrees)? They can get very bad...
Feel better soon.

give it a little squirt of preparation H.
