I used to have them when my baby was sick and in the Intensive Care. There were times I'd drive to the Hospital and get this overwhelming feeling like I had to pull over because I "didn't know how" to drive. I had intense sweating, and times where I felt like my feet weren't anchored on the ground. It was a terrible time, but I'm certain that stress doesn't help! When this happened, I had no idea I was having a panic attack....That was many years ago and things worked out fine. I haven't had an episode since, and I have also learned to calm myself down in general! (Also, someone suggested medication at the time, which I declined....I still don't recommend it..Meds are overused and not necessarily the cure!)
I use to have them often. I would start sweating around my neck and then my head. I start having shortness of breath where I couldn't take in a full breath. At this point I would get unbearably irritated. Sometimes this would go on for a day or two in which I would have insomnia. I now take Lexapro which helps so much. It's a rare occasion now.
