Has anyone ever had a abdominal aortic aneurysm? what are the symptoms, on the w!

Question: usually just abdominal pain, sometimes you can feel a pulsatile mass in the abdomen (about where the navel is). if it gets larger you can sometime feel palpitations in the neck o even see them. This is not something to wait around for though. if you think you or somebody else has one they need to see a doctor immediately.

I hope you aren't asking us to help you with your homework.......

My girlfriend's dad had that. He had abdominal pain. The doctors didn't figure out what it was soon enough and he died. Abdominal pain can signal a lot of different things, I don' think the doctors were negligent. The problem just came on quickly before they knew what they were dealing with.

Sometimes it can cause abdominal bloating or distention, constipation, or other abdominal pains. However if it ruptures you will die very quickly from internal bleeding.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm may not cause any symptoms at first. When symptoms do occur, they include a pulsing sensation in the abdomen, and pain ranging from mild to severe. Pain may be located in the abdominal, back, or groin area. Sudden, excruciating pain in the lower abdomen and back pain usually indicates a ruptured aorta, which needs to be treated immediately.

if anyone had this, they would have died in 5 minutes or so, unless they lived next to a hospital or was in one, rigid stomach, would go into shock

One usually does not have symptoms systemically. Pulsating in the abdomen, feeling of fullness and abdominal/back pain are some of the only symptoms.

If you have one there is normally nothing to alert you. If left undiagnosed it will kill you when it ruptures.
