let's say for the purpose of the discussion that it was at it's root, a gay, white man disease. well, as i'm sure you are aware, the different demographics do not always exclusively date/sleep with people from that same demographic. let's picture a microcosm of 2 white women, 2 white men (one gay and infected with HIV), 2 black men, and 2 black women. if the gay white man sleeps with a white woman (maybe he was experimental in college), and she sleeps with a black man, who then sleeps with a black woman, who sleeps with the other black man, who sleeps with the last two women, everybody gets the virus. or, the gay white man can sleep with a black man who swings both ways and passes it on to a black woman.... and so on. i think you get my point.
anyway, whether or not HIV/AIDS originated in the gay white male community, it is no longer a "gay" disease. that is a stereotype of the past. we now know that it affects every community and can be passed onto any person of any race or sexual orientation who chooses not to practice safe sex.

it's actually becoming a black women's disease because they are more at risk. the reason being is that supposedly a lot of black men are having sex with other men and then have sex with their wives. the wives are oblivious to the infidelity so they end up getting infected.
it actually happened to my friends aunt. she found out he was sleeping with other men and he had gotten h.i.v. thankfully she tested negative!
'They' can call it whatever they want, a disease doesn't discriminate, unlike people.
They are getting it because down low african american males are having sex with other males then giving it to other females such as their girlfriend or wife.
Its a human disease. Color or sexual preference has nothing to do with it. It is true that back in the 80's more gay people had it then anyone but now its running rampant in every color, and in every sexual preference. Who ever told you its a gay peoples disease is a FOOL for saying that.
It is true that black women are the ones with the most Aids today. You can look it up. But who knows in another ten years it could be white little girls. The disease does not discriminate and if you have sex you are at risk.
Why does race matter you should just worry about protecting yourself so you dont get it
AIDS is a disease anyone can get, not just gay people.
Aids can affect anyone. Children can be born with it if their mothers have it. You can get it so many ways without being gay. People just want it to be a gay thing because they are stupid and don't want to learn about it.
