Is it the flu?!

Question: last night i felt like shi.t: sore throat, chills, head ache, maybe a fever (no thermometer). i woke up constantly throughout the night and skipped all my classes and laid around till 2. then i started feeling better so i took a few advil and i felt ok although i didnt really eat anything all day. by about 10:30 the same symptoms started returning and now i feel the same as i did last night. what could this be? a nocturnal illness?

Sounds like the flu to me,. Mine started the same way, sore throat (ears hurt, too), headaches, chills one minute, and feverish the next. The sore throat could be from your sinus's draining. Do you have other cold symptoms like a stuffy or runny nose, cough? If so,.get yourself some Mucinex DM, it's what my doctor told me to get, and it works great for cold symptoms (it's over the counter). Otherwise, there's not much you can do for the flu as it is a virus, it doesn't respond to antibiotics. Drink PLENTY of fluids (juices, green tea,and water). That will help flush the virus out of your system faster. The Flu, typically, can last anywhere from two to seven days. However, if you have a fever > 101, (invest in a thermometer) for more than a couple of days, you should see a Doctor. If you need a Doctor, check out the city's Health Dept. They usually charge according to your income.

you should probably go to your doctor and ask, i seem to have that problem when my allergies are acting up, your sinuses seem to drain more in the night and early morning causing allergy like symptoms

There is no such thing as a "nocturnal" illness. You're either sick or you're not. Most sick ppl seem to feel worse at night just because they're laying in bed with nothing to distract them from how bad they're feeling.

your home sick

i think it might be flu, u feel pretty useless ay, i mean u hav mussle pain or maybe joint pain, and can't really do anyting? if thatz the case try take some painkillers, like thos contain Paracetamol (eg. Panadol) or u can try Ibuprofen (eg. Nurofen) or Apirin stuffs, but make sure ur not allergic to Ibuprofen and Aspirin, and they have some side effects like would make ur blood thin etc, and not for pregnant pple. The Paracetamol is the safest, for a stronger pain relief, try one that contains Paracetamol and Codeine (eg. Panadeine) , but this is Pharmacy only. Hope this helps!

could be a tumor
