Does anyone know of an anti-depressant similar to Effexor XR?!
Question: I take effexor xr 75 mg for panic attacks. I dont have insurance right now and it is like $155 for a 30 day supply, and they dont offer a generic in this perticular brand (XR) Does anyone know of a good one I can ask my Dr to switch me to that does come in a generic form that is similar to effexor xr, with very little side effects that would be a whole lot cheaper? I take effexor XR 150mg for depression. I also don't have insurance and so my parents buy it through a drugstore in canada (online). It is now legal in the USA to buy from an online canadian drugstore for up to a 3 months' supply of medicine. We use adv-care.com and they have effexor XR in a generic format. You have to do a lot of paperwork and get a prescription for 3 months (or 100 ct., i can't remember) but it is soooo much cheaper. Definitely look into it as this drug has helped me amazingly and i would not want to try to go without it right now in my life.

I looked up on the website how much it costs. It costs about $50 a month...a third of what you pay in the US! The generic name is: RATIO-VENLAFAXINE XR or just venlafaxine XR
