Can sickle cell disease be sexually transmitted?!
Question: Sickle cell disease is hereditary and therefor only transmissible if you have children (and only to the children). The risk increases if both you and your partner carry the defective gene. It would be a good idea to go for genetic counselling before having kids.

No it's a genetic disorder, not contagious.
No Love, it is a blood condition.... we all have blood groups and a genotype a man with AS an genotype and a woman with AS an genotype could give birth to a child with SS(sickle cell anemia) and someone that has SS can marry someone with AA and not have a child that is SS.
