Asthma question...?!
Question: I take my medicine, by my asthma is not controlled. All I did is open the door to let the dog out, and that stimulated an attack.
Is that normal?

From my experience, asthma attacks can be brought on by a bunch of different things: allergies, excercise, dust, etc. Growing up a multitude of things set off my asthma attacks, but luckily with time I've been encountering less and less problems. Honestly, I believe that I have just grown used to things that bother my asthma and I avoid them. Right now cats cause me the most problems...and it can be as simple as someone wearing clothes from a home with cats.
Asthma problems are serious, as it is a respitory issue, so you should always see a doctor if you are having problems/questions.
Hope it helps!
Sometimes you'll just have a bad couple of week, when some type of pollen or something is in the air. If your reliever isn't working, try a preventer as well, see your doctor.
I have got chronic asthma as well, I find sudden changes in temperature can set it off, like if you went from hot room to cold air outside or visa versa.
I also have allergies as well so its worth getting tested for them, animal hair sets me off as well as dust and freshly cut grass.
