Quick pick-me-up?!

Question: So I really don't get sick all too often, but I randomly woke up with a scratchy throat this morning, and it slowly developed into a runny nose. My nose is starting to get red because of how much I've been wiping it, and is also starting to hurt. I have a lot to do tomorrow, and don't want to walk around with a congested head. Does anybody have any suggestions (besides taking pills/medication) for trying to improve my condition? I just took a nap, I've been avoiding dairy food and eating oranges for vitamin C.

Any suggestions appreciated... Thank you!

You must be from the islands because Jamaican me crazy!!

Oh pick you up....hmmm Get well soon!

How about a joke? A guy walks into a bar....OUCH!!

Hot tea!
Chicken noodle soup
A blanket and a good book
(and pets if you have one)
:D

SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP AND MORE SLEEP. lol always works for me

My husband and I swear by the neti pot. It does wonders for a congested head. I also can't live without my Airborne - I drink it at the first sign of a head cold and use it every 4 hours after that for a day or so, it usually clears things right up (I know you said no meds, but this is more natural - not chemical).

Hot shower, as much sleep as you can get the new Kleenex with Vicks imbedded into the tissues they are great.

Zinc. Also, if you want to run to the store, get some Oil of Oregano (supplement, not spice). It might not make you better by tomorrow, but it seems to help me stay healthy all winter. Lots and lots of water.
