I have these wierd spots on my skin!?!

Question: I have these two uniformly pink round spots that are flat on my skin. They don't hurt and they're not scaly. I noticed them growing and I went to the doctor when they were about half a centimeter in diameter (about two months after I first noticed them). He had no idea what they were and gave me fungal medication. After taking the medication for awhile they went away. But now they've come back in more numbers! They appear at the edges where the previous spots use to be. It's been six months now and they've reached the same size as the old ones. There's still no pain or swelling or scaliness and they're not raised or anything. I don't notice a border around the edges either. What is this? What does it mean? How can I make it go away forever?

Please don't post something like "go see another doctor". It's not useful and it doesn't answer my question at all. It's also not fair for you to recieve points for such a pointless post.

If the fungal meds worked but the spots came back... why not try a different method. I used head and shoulders type of shampoo and put it on my skin like a lotion, let it dry and then washed it off. I had a fungal skin infection from a tanning booth, turned my affected skin a lighter color like Michael Jackson. =] Anyway, I had to treat my skin that way a few times to get the patches to go away. They faded out and haven't come back since, but I don't tan anymore because of it. Nasty dirty places.

If you've been to the doctor and they gave you a med that worked, but the spots came back... do you know what you might have contracted the fungus from? Somebody's bedding other than your own? Someone you know has it too? Swimming pool? Gym? Where the spots are, what touches your skin the most? Fungus is a freaky thing, it can live in your carpets for years, in your sheets and bedding, your clothes, all those things need to be "bleached" color safe or regular bleach will do. Sunlight kills most fungi so expose yourself (lol) your skin to daylight, not UV lights, as often as possible.

I seriously suggest disinfecting anything your skin touches, your tub/shower + bleach, bleach, bleach as much as you can. It's the least amount of work for having to wash everything you wear, walk, and sleep on. If you've already done all of that, then I don't know what else I could suggest. All I know is that just washing your clothes and bedding, doesn't get the fungus out. You have to kill it.

The dandruff shampoo solution I used, was to starve the fungi of oxygen, not to 'cure' it. It took a few bottles of shampoo and a lot of patience, but it did go away. I've been told that today's fungi are getting stronger and more resistant to treatment. Right or not, maybe try for a stronger concentration of the active ingredient in your medicine, especially since it worked once.
