UTI??? HelP!!?!

Question: I pee anywhere from 6 -8 times in one hour. I wasnt like this at all before, its horrible at work I have to stop working to go the bathroom I feel like I really have to go, and when I end up going only a few drops come out :/ Is this a urinary tract infection? I ve been drinking cranberry juice and it helps a bit but I still have to pee alot. I have been like this for many months now. Is being a active a factor for this to happen? What gets rid of a UTI??

I would def say its a UTI I get many of them, its usually from holding in your pee in the past or having sex and not peeing afterwards to get the fluids out, I would go to your doctor and tell them your symptoms and they'll give you a test for it usually but if its super painful they'll give you antibiotics on the spot. usually its a pill you take for 5 to 7 days twice a day the first few days it'll still bother you but after it will work like magic! lol

good luck
unfortunately I know how you feel
:(

antibiotics see your Dr and try family doctor.org for answers to the questions you may have

Antibiotics. If you've waited that long, you can start getting crystals and get some nasty infections that are worse than what you have. GO SEE YOUR DOC!

You need antibiotics. You need to be seen by a doctor, if you leave a UTI untreated it can affect your kidneys. It may be something else like overactive bladder. Get it checked out.

First of all... you really NEED to go to a Dr. They must test to be sure it's a UTI... But, you can go to the local drug store and they sell a product for the urgency ... just ask the pharmacist. Try getting an over the counter UTI test if you can't go to the Dr. .. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.j... although going to the Dr. is the best bet.

Good luck!

Honestly I know this sounds annoying but go to the doctor and ask for antibiotics. They will do a urine test first which will indicate if it could be anything else. I have had several UTIs in the past. they are not self healing. They get worse. You can keep your immune system strong by having cranberry juice in your regular diet, but it is not a cure. Drinking more water and less sodas/coffee is a good prevention as well.

It could be several different things. Depending on how old you are, it could be what they refer to as "incontinence," but that tends to happen when the bladder walls get weaker, i.e. elder people. UTI's are classic for causing "frequency" and are easy to be fixed. Call your primary care doc and just tell them you want to drop off a urine sample to have it analyzed. It will take them 10 seconds and it will show if there's bacteria there or not. At that point, your physician will prescribe an AB if you need one.

Home remedies usually don't kill the bacteria, but they can help. The ascorbic acid in Vitamin C is good for UTI's, that's why Cranberry juice is good. In reality, all juices are decent, including orange juice. It also helps to drink lots of fluids to help flush out the bacteria.

But the best thing to do is just make a quick trip to the office and drop off a sample.
