you should talk to your dr. try a mild soap and dont wash your legs and arms only where you really need it. cool water in your showers, put lotion all over your body when you get out after pat drying your whole body. no perfumes or alcohol in the soaps and lotions. Baby stuff works it has mild perfumes.you can try an oatmeal bath. hydrocordizone cream good luck. Also keep your self cool use ice packs when bad itching occurs. Dont scrach it it will mak it worse. maybe benadryl at night to help you sleep and help the itch. but most of all talk to your dr

Are you sure no one spiked your drink with something else that could cause your reaction?

antihistamines are contraindicated with alcohol intake thats why but if you havent been taking alcohol as you say then you make take antihistamines. Any will do ,they only differ in their sedating effect

For minor allergies people take antihistamines eg telfast.

For those suffering from symptoms on a chronic basis they can undergo desensitatation therapy to reduce their reaction to allergens, but I'm pretty sure alcohol desensitisation does not exist.

Actually, I don't think you're allergic to 'alcohol' per se but a component of the drinks it comes in eg some people get an allergic reaction to wine but not beer.

Some people may lack the enzyme to process alcohol (aldehyde dehydrogenase), so a small amount causes flushing and makes them drunk faster. This is not an allergy. But what you describe, particularly the itchiness, sounds like an allergic-type reaction.

Your best bet would be to try different types of alcohol eg beer, wine, spirits - something out there will not contain the actual component causing your reaction whilst allowing you to enjoy alcohol.

Of course, I'm just some guy from the net, so better still, go see your doctor.

see a doctor,iy may or maynot be the alcohol
