Once people correct for the thyroid problem people usually stay at their current rate or loose a few pounds, but it is not like you will loose 20 pounds or something. Yes, The pills that they Should give you will speed up your thyroid, producing more energy for you. All you have to do is use it, but either way you should lose some weight. I don't think anyone can tell you how much you are going to lose though.

It is very difficult to lose weight, once it is there and you will probably need to drop your calorie intake and take some regular, vigorous exercise as well.
