How does one know if they have a kidney problem?!

Question: This is very serious. Trust me in this. If you are having pain, frequency or infrequency of urine, retaining fluids/ edema, exhaustion, nausea, thirst, dark or discolored urine, a metallic taste in the mouth, confusion, nose bleeds, dizziness or many other symptoms you could be experiencing kidney problems of one or many kinds. Please see a doctor if you have the slightest chance of any problem. Do NOT PLAY WITH YOUR LIFE!

Constant pain in the lower back region. Trouble passing urine. To get a definitive answer, you may have blood work done to check for protein in the urine or have an ultrasound.

Hope all is well.

it all depends what kind of kidney problem? if it is kidney stones then you will go down on the floor with pain and have no doubts about that i have kidney stones and believe me they are painful,if you have kidney infection then once again you are in a lot of pain mostly in the region of the side in which you have the infection wether it be right or left just on either side of your spine.
hope this answers your question

There are many types of kidney disease including infections, drug reactions, inflammatory or autoimmune diseases, and other diseases (diabetes, hypertension) can cause kidney damage. The symptoms depend on the cause (there are too many to get into here unless you can narrow your question to a specific type of kidney disease)

A blood test for BUN and creatinine, which are markers of kidney function can be done. Other serum electrolytes may be out of whack. Urinalysis may show bacteria, red or white blood cells and blood cell casts. CT scans may show anatomic anomalies (polycystic kidneys, enlarged kidney, inflammation...). There are many tests and they are dependant on the suspected cause of the disease.

Hope this helps! Your question is broad and I'm sure you don't want a whole lecture's worth of info.
