HELP - Blue Feet After Heart Surgery - Raynaud's?!

Question: My mother in law had a heart attack a week ago and while she is recovering well form that, her feet are turning, then blue. She has been off her feet this whole time and doctor's are talking of amputation. Is this Raynaud's syndrome? I read Raynaud's usually is an "attack" that last a few minutes or hours but her feet are consistently purple or blue.
Is this Raynaud's and does anybody know if there is a way to srtop this and save her feet?

no this is not Raynaud's. Your mother in law has a low blood flow to her legs because of atherosclerosis, which means narrowing of her blood vessels in her legs just the same way her coronaries were before the operation.

She is probably ( I'm guessing) a diabetic too.

her problem is compounded by the fact that her heart is probably not functioning 100%.

I'm sure the doctors are doing the best they can to save her feet.

Raynauds is associated with an autoimmune disease known as Scleroderma and is part of a syndrome known as CREST (sclerosis comprising calcinosis, Raynaud's phenomenon, esophageal dysmotility, sclerodactyly and telangiectasia) Raynuads is a vascular phenomenon upon which the fingers or toes turn blue usually after exposure to cold, or stress, but usually resolves.
There are many things that could be causing her symptoms, such as heart failure, a non ambulatory state (ie being off her feet) , drug reactions, diabetes, and a host of others. Please make sure she is seen immediately by a physician who knows her FULL medical history.
