So why do you still have unprotected sex?!

Question: I personally choose abstinance for religious reason as well as personal.
Have you seen someone die of an STD?

Answers: I personally choose abstinance for religious reason as well as personal.
Have you seen someone die of an STD?

I have volunteered for two womens pregnancy and health centers that advocate abstinence before marriage. I have seen unwanted pregnancies, abortions, STDs, heartache, anger, grief, regret, and abused children, all as a result of unprotected, nonmonogamous sex.

The only way to avoid STDs is monogamy. Sure, it's "old fashioned, boring, nobody does that anymore." That's why 40% of babies born in the US are born to unmarried mothers. That's why 80% of sexually-active girls will have at least one STD in their lifetime.

The advent of birth control pills in the 1960's, the sexual revolution of the 1970's, the drug and sex-laden permissiveness of the 1980's, and the denial-it-isn't-that-bad attitude if the 1990's has brought us where we are today. Yes, I'm old enough to remember all those eras.

We all make our own decisions regarding sexual activity. However, often our future partners, someone else's future partner, or even a child, has to pay the price for our decision.

I have unprotected sex because I can't afford condoms.

:-(

I'm married.

No.

nope I havent. Theres all kinds of meds for that.

Because i have been with my fiance for 5 yrs

aids yes other no

it feels so good when you don't use a condom and you nut up in a chick

you can die from anything if god permits it read the word

I am with you, but I guess people get caught up in the moment and can't control their hormones.

no

No. I have it because I trust the other person.

Cause I'm married...

BK,
Just a comment: I'm 24 guy. I believe in abstinence for the same reason you do. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I highly respect your decision.

So many.In haste they did .he has to think of his future life
What is find to be safer is to be used in time.
(otherwise,it is his bad time to suffer )

I've seen people die from AIDS. You would think this day in age people would be more careful.

No i nevered seen noone die of an STD and i nevered had unprotected sex nor protected sex because I am still a virgin!!!

Congratulations, that must have been a difficult choice to make, and a tough one to stick with. Not my personal choice, but that's just my issue.
And secondly, no, I haven't.

it's because of us teaching that drugs are bad and spending no time telling them to cover their hammer before they slam her. that's why aids is still around. YOU HEAR ME YOU REPUBLICAN SCALAWAGS???!!!

knowing well they do and face the consequencies. what to do?

that's it. start having sex right when your sexual desire starts to fade away. Great decision. Don't abstane from sex for religious reasons... if anything, do it for yourself.

People have sex without condoms because sex with a condom is horrible. My advice: Never have sex without a condom, because once you do, it will be too easy to convince yourself not to use one.

I guess I have unprotected sex for only one reason; I only have sex with my wife of 28 years and we do not have to worry about STDs or any of the other diseases that are out there.

Sex is a normal body function and should be enjoyed without barriers. people who avoid sex for any reason have something psychologically wrong with them.

It's like saying "Do you have unprotected lunch?", meaning, do you swallow your sandwich encased in a shrink-wrapped plastic bag?

I have no idea why anyone would have unprotected sex unless they were in a committed relationship and/or trying to get pregnant. I have always used some form of birth control ever since I've been sexually active. I think people just need to be more educated about birth control at a younger age. Also schools need to stop preaching abstinence because when these kids grow up they are going to have sex one day even if they wait till marriage and they will need to know what they are doing and how to care for their bodies. When I was in high school our sex ed class consisted of watching one birthing video and talking about menopause. They left out a hell of a lot in between!

As for your second question, No I have never seen anyone die of an STD personally but I have met people with AIDS and it is no laughing matter.

I have the same view with the person that asked this question. I prefer abstinence for self protection and religious reasons.
However, people indulge in unprotected sex to get the best of the fun. Unfortunately, the pleasure from unprotected sex is far below the risk and pain associated with STDs. Finally, people succumb to unprotected sex when they are intoxicated and atimes pressure from their partner

Because I'm married. People were made with reproductive systems and sexual urges for a reason, to populate the earth. Remember that children are a blessing from God, and we can't have children any other way than someone having sex.
I have never known anyone that died from an std. Sounds like you have though. Marriage is a wonderful thing, a Holy institution blessed by God. Within the marriage bed, std's are not likely to happen. I realize that this is a personal choice that you are making, just like having sex is a personal choice that others make.
