Testicle pain, small lump...ultrasound said calcium deposit? Anyone have this?!
Question:
Testicle pain, small lump...ultrasound said calcium deposit? Anyone have this?
So I noticed a small lump on my testicile about a year and half ago, its attached to the testicle and is hard. I cannot see it, I have to really feel around to feel it, but anyways the ultrasound said it was a calcium deposit. Im feeling some pain in the area today, and this testicle has felt different then my other since the time I first found the lump. It feels a little rough and all, I was convinced I had tesicular cancer, but the ultra sound didnt show that, should I be concerned about this? Has anyone ever heard of a calcium deposit in testicle? Thanks
Answers:
calcium deposits in the scrotum are quite common ...typically they form between the testicle and the scrotal wall , and are often mobile meaning that they roll freely from left to right . Very often you can feel the lump and even isolate it between the thumb and forefinger. More often than not they are also found inferiorly , or on the bottom of the scrotum , as they are typically gravity dependent. They often feel " bumpy or rough as they very often have an irregular surface , much like a kidney stone . This surface can rub the teste the wrong way , and even cause pain .
So why is it there ?? Well , they can happen for many reasons and often NO reason at all.
The good news is that 99% of extratesticular masses are benign . If your worried , see a urologist and they can discuss options .
