Can muscular bodybuilders win 100m sprint race at international level like Olymp!
Question: Can muscular bodybuilders win 100m sprint race at international level like Olympics? Isn't 9 secs ideal to win?
Answers:
Problem with bodybuilders, their mechanics are limited, so they literally can't take big enough steps to be competitive in 100m's.
Most sprinters are very close to being bodybuilders though(they build up a lot of muscle, and they build up a lot of bulk, to get that force), they just don't build up the muscles that'll shorten your step, and limit your mechanics(which bodybuilders do).And they train to get the maximum blood-flow(where bodybuilders usually wanna avoid getting vein-y).
That's why Usain Bolt was such a surprise, because he's way too tall, and floppy, for the archetypal sprinter body-type, he proves though, that great mechanics, will beat power any-day.
