Question: Varicocele, got bigger, pretty painful, but doc said leave it!?
I am 21, and my varicocele got bigger, but my doctor said it could be part of my injury that i caused to the perineal body from 3 weeks ago!. is this true!? Why is my varicocele hurting so much and has gotten so big!? He said surgery is not needed right now and does not need to be rushed!? does anyone have advice or suggestion!? I feel so disabled right now!. I have not been able to run, bike, walk properly or jog the last 3 weeks!. He said wait a couple of more weeks!. I have a feeling this doctor doesn't really care!. I've read many varicocele articles, and they said when they hurt, I should undergo surgery!. Any suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would get a second opinion right away if its hurting that bad!. Another reason to get a 2nd opinion is if you plan on having children later!.I had surgery for varicocele just 3 wks after my doctor diagnosed me w/it!. I had it on my left side and it felt heavy all the time!. He told me my case was pretty bad for my age (23) and that it should be fixed right away before it causes any permanent reproductive problems!. If you decide to undergo surgery, it's not that bad!. I had the surgery on a fri and went back to work on mon, I was drugged up on pain killers though, but it was all good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you have doubts about your doctor's capabilities - by all means - get a second opinion!. Just keep going to different doctors until you find one to tell you what you want to hear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
