Question: Help with my son please (almost 5)!?
my son seem 2 have infections in his penis!.!.!. Is swollen and red and hurts when he wants 2 pee!. Also seem like there can be a disharge!. What is it!? and what can I do 2 make it better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, I thought it was weird and a bit far-fetched too when I learned that in medical school!.!.!.go figure!. Many children in fact do this without abuse being an issue!.!.!.most of the time it's normal and they don't have a clue as to why they're doing it b/c it's not really a sexual thing since kids are innocent and are unaware of sex hopefully, although I wouldn't suggest telling your son that!. Perhaps this is the case and he's actually infected himself if his hands were a little dirty!. Maybe this is not the case, and he just has a UTI from too many sodas or some kind of medicine!. In the mean time, give him tylenol and if the area is dry, lubricate it with vaseline so it won't hurt as much from the friction in his underclothes!. Such a condition is called balanoposthitis meaning inflammation of glans penis (ie head of the penis) and of prepuce (ie fore skin)!.
Such a condition occurs in non- circumcised males usually in the age group below 15 yrs!. It is due to bacterial, fungal, traumatic or other non infectious skin disorders etc!.
Appropriate antibiotic and other supportive medicines etc may be prescribed by your doctor!. Finally when the acute condition is over a circumcision may be performed!.

Sounds very much like an infection!. You should see a doctor asap to get it checked out!. You don't say if he is circumcised or not!. If he is not maybe you should look into the procedure and he might not get infections as the germs will not stay inside the skin!. Sounds like he has a UTI, more than likely he is uncircumcised!.!.!.!.!.Go to the Dr and get some antibiotics to clear up the UTI and then have him circumcised so he won't get this again!Www@Answer-Health@Com
